- _f_s_s_t_a_t reports on the status of the filesystem on _s_p_e_c_i_a_l__f_i_l_e. During
- startup, this command is used to determine if the filesystem needs
- checking before it is mounted. _f_s_s_t_a_t succeeds if the filesystem is
- unmounted and appears O.K. For the root filesystem, it succeeds if the
- filesystem is active and not marked bad. _f_s_s_t_a_t attempts to assure that
- the blocksize of the device matches that specified in the device volume
- header.
